Jiya Gangwar

Jiya is part of Marin Academy’s Research Collaborative: Applied Genetics Research (MARC AGR). In a cohort of ten, she is genetically modifying Drosophila (fruit flies) to create a target fly to aid in research around the world. As part of this class, she has learned microscopy skills, maintained fly populations, and dove into the field of genetics, all of which contributed to her passion for research.
